TCS PPT and Aptitude

Hey,

Please note tomorrow (8th May '08 : Thursday) you have to report at 7am for the PPT and the Aptitude test..

For the aptitude, please refer sample aptitude test papers.. You can find some at www.freshersworld.com or just look at the ads at side and top, and you'll find some links to sites that can help you prepare for aptitude..

TIPS FOR TCS APTITUDE

From other colleges, it seems that TCS aptitude test will be an online test, and this will be mostly the format of the test.. Please go through it and solve some sample aptitude papers.. Thist time, the competition is gonna be tough, very tough as we have to compete with a very large mass..

I suggest everyone to go through all the papers at http://www.freshersworld.com/placementweek/company.asp?cid=108 you can and to solve questions rather then mugging up the answers because the values do change and some of the answers provided here were even wrong (very few though). If you can solve these papers, around 20 atleast, there is no need of solving RS Aggarwal for TCS atleast.

For the verbal section, if possible please go through barron's high frequency words, model test papers and learn all the previous paper synonyms and antonyms, additionaly learn more words for the words already put up in past papers.

Lastly for critical reasoning do all the passages from Barron's 12 edition model test papers. My friends told that they had the same questions, some even had whole of the three passages as same.

For the written, please concentrate maximum on aptitude and then critical reasoning and lastly synonyms/antonyms. But dont leave any section completely because you never know they might put up sectional cut-offs.

Get Serious about your Placements!

Hey Friends,

Well you all must know that this time a lot of IT companies are not going for mass recruitments and taking very selected no of Freshers.. The scenario this time is very bad.. Dont expect any company to take mass recruitment this time (although if we are lucky, we may see one)..

And with Comp and IT people competing with us, its gonna be very tough.. So please please get serious about Campus and start practising for Aptitude and PI.. Use some of the links on these page at the sides/top to go through some sample Aptitude Questions.. Also, as of now, TCS is the only IT company coming to Nirma.. Means some others might come, but none has confirmed till now..

And for the people not considering the IT companies for Core Companies, please consider the fact that Core Companies are very difficult to crack and you might have seen that L&T also took just 3.. So, please choose your decision wisely..

Summer Training News

This is to inform all the students of semester 6 of 05BCH batch that those who had applied for training in companies, have to submit a NOC letter from the Company in which they want to do the training by this 10th May'08.

On 10th May, Deepak Sir will give some kits required for the training programme, so please collect it from him then..

Also, those students who have not applied in any company by themselves, please attend college on 12th May..

III CELL PLACEMENT INFO MEET!

Please note that a meeting is held on this Wednesday (7th May '08) in A-Audi at 1pm sharp..

The meeting is to give general instructions about the placements and any questions you have regarding the placements... The Maestro - Sachin Sir will be himself there to give the instructions and solve any queries you all may have..

Also, you might get some info about the companies and dates and all.. Its a Official Meeting..

Please attend the meeting for your own good sake.. A report of all the students attending has to be given to Sir and perhaps the Director also..

So please spare 1hr for your future and attend the meeting..
